Careful selection of the best available alternative investment funds after a thorough due diligence of both the funds and their managers, while maintaining the investment focus on the medium-term horizon and on opportunities arising within each alternative investment strategy, as well as on the prevailing macroeconomic environment.

Hedge funds, private equity funds, private credit funds, real assets and infrastructure funds, as well as real estate investment funds. The AIF may also invest, on a secondary basis, in other financial instruments; however, it will not invest in non-listed closed-ended investment funds.

The objective of risk management is to maintain low volatility at the overall portfolio level of the AIF, through the careful selection of its underlying investments, consideration of the risk characteristics of each investment fund comprising the portfolio, and a high degree of internal diversification. Particular emphasis is placed on ensuring adequate liquidity at the AIF level, as well as on maintaining low correlation between the AIF’s portfolio and the equity and fixed income markets.
